Meyer Blue sits at 83 Meyer Road, Singapore 437910, on the narrow band of Meyer Road that has the sea on one side and a two storey landed enclave on the other, and the developer’s own view study shows both outlooks open rather than built out. The site faces three ways: north over the low rise landed housing of Tanjong Katong, south east over the waters off East Coast Park, and south west toward the city at Marina South. It is a freehold address within the Marine Parade Planning Area in District 15, a 6 minute walk from Katong Park MRT station on the Thomson East Coast Line, and roughly 8 minutes on foot from East Coast Park itself. Connectivity: A Station That’s Already Running

Katong Park MRT station (TE24) sits on Meyer Road itself, a 6 minute walk from Meyer Blue, and it has been carrying passengers since 23 June 2024. That is the distinction worth drawing: this is a station in service, not a station on a masterplan. It opened as part of Thomson East Coast Line Stage 4 alongside Tanjong Rhu, Tanjong Katong, Marine Parade, Marine Terrace, Siglap and Bayshore. Tanjong Katong station (TE25) is a second option, 8 minutes’ walk in the other direction.

Riding into the city from Katong Park is a single service with no line change. Marina Bay is the third stop, after Tanjong Rhu and Gardens by the Bay. Two further stations are built on that stretch but not yet open: Marina South, which has no announced opening date, and Founders’ Memorial, scheduled for 2028. Once both are running the same journey becomes five stops, so a stop count quoted for this route depends on when it was written. The line’s fifth and final stage, adding Bedok South and the Sungei Bedok interchange with the Downtown Line, is confirmed by the Ministry of Transport for the second half of 2026 and was in systems testing as at mid 2026.

By road, Meyer Blue sits directly on the East Coast Parkway, which runs into the Marina Coastal Expressway at Marina South.

Lifestyle Hub at the East Coast

East Coast Park is about 8 minutes away on foot, reached by an existing walkway and an underpass beneath the East Coast Parkway rather than a surface crossing. That is worth knowing before a viewing, because the park reads as directly opposite on a map and the expressway sits between the two. What the walk buys is the full length of the park: the beach, the cycling and running network, the food centres, and the water sports along the shoreline.

Everyday shopping is close. Parkway Parade is about 5 minutes by car, with i12 Katong, KINEX and Paya Lebar Quarter within the same short radius. For food, the surrounding area carries the East Coast Road food enclave, Tanjong Katong Food Centre, Old Airport Road Food Centre and the East Coast Seafood Centre. The balance of the address is the point: Meyer Road itself is quiet and residential, while the eating and shopping sit a few minutes away in Katong and Joo Chiat rather than at the door.

Charming Heritage to Cosmopolitan City

The Katong and Joo Chiat district next door carries one of Singapore’s densest concentrations of Peranakan heritage, in the shophouse rows, the food and a contemporary art and dining scene layered on top of it. In the other direction the Central Business District and Marina Bay are about 10 minutes by car or three stops by train.

The largest planned change to this coastline is Long Island, and it is worth stating precisely because the timeline is long. On 30 June 2026 the Urban Redevelopment Authority and the Housing and Development Board confirmed that preparatory works will begin from end 2026. Those works involve removing seabed obstructions and building temporary sand bunds, at least 130m offshore, marked by silt screens and floating barriers, with public access to the East Coast Park beaches maintained throughout. The first phase covers about 570 hectares in the waters west of Bedok Jetty, running roughly 7km east to west and up to 1km north to south. A second phase of about 155 hectares east of Bedok Jetty will begin only after the 2029 Southeast Asian Games.

What is confirmed is the preparatory work, not the reclamation. The main reclamation follows later, after technical studies, mitigation measures and further public engagement, and both agencies describe the wider project as running over several decades. The eventual scheme envisages about 800 hectares of reclaimed land and around 20km of new waterfront parks, forming part of a continuous 120km stretch of accessible waterfront along Singapore’s southern coast. Treat Long Island as a long range change to the neighbourhood rather than a near term one, and read any claim that attaches a date to future housing there with care, because no such date has been announced.

Nature Hotspots Around Meyer Blue

The green space here is genuinely usable rather than a line in a brochure, and the reason is the park connector network rather than the park alone. East Coast Park is an 8 minute walk, and from it the Coastal Park Connector runs east without interruption toward Changi. Westward, the connector network links through to Bay East Garden, Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay, which is the route that makes a ride into the city centre continuous rather than stop start. The Tanjong Rhu Promenade Park Connector is about 10 minutes away by bicycle.

Closer in, the landed enclave immediately north of the site is zoned for two storey housing, which is why the outlook in that direction is over rooftops and garden trees rather than into another block.

Top Educational Institutions

The developer’s location map plots an unusually dense cluster of schools around Meyer Road. At primary level it shows Tanjong Katong Primary School, Kong Hwa School, Haig Girls’ School, Tao Nan School, Ngee Ann Primary School and CHIJ (Katong) Primary. At secondary level it shows Dunman High School, Chung Cheng High School (Main), Tanjong Katong Girls’ School, Tanjong Katong Secondary School and CHIJ Katong Convent, with Victoria Junior College beyond. International and preschool options on the same map include EtonHouse International School and its Broadrick campus, Odyssey The Global Preschool, Global Tots Preschool and MindChamps PreSchool @ East Coast.

One caution for families buying with a school in mind. Ministry of Education priority registration is decided on straight line distance from the home to the school, not on drive time and not on being in the same neighbourhood. Verify the exact distance for any specific school using MOE’s own measurement tool before letting it weigh on a purchase.
